I was pleasantly surprised as to how easy Steve , Sharon , Swayze & Travis made the process of installing our Harrisons solar Energy system. Collectively they made a great team. From the start with Steves visit, where the Harrison’s Solar Energy System was introduced to us for the first time. Then this was followed up with Sharron with all the paper work, that flowed so effortlessly. The the installers Swayze & Travis that installed it so professionally, explaining all the safety features and it running. Now we consider ourselves blessed to watching the Energy being produced, without any effort on our part. A big thank you to the Taranaki Harrison’s solar Energy group.

Steve and Sharron at Harrisons Taranaki are excellent to deal with from the initial meetings – where all the info received was easy to understand and Steve’s electrical knowledge was top notch, the installation progress was equally as painless and then helping us navigate the lines companies and retailer approvals and tariffs was so welcomed.

We’ve had our system for approximately 2 years and expected to install a battery about 1 year after installing the panels.  Our decision was based on reducing our upfront costs but we also wanted to spend time learning about how to reduce our energy consumption and use other tools like the sun and power timers.  Two years in and we are really happy with our reduced power bills and in the summer our export outweighs our usage so we receive credits!

Our retailer export contract recently expired and Sharron was more than happy to share her knowledge on best export rates around when I cheekily enquired and she was superfast responding.

I have no hesitation in recommending Harrisons Taranaki – they continue to be excellent to deal with and provide outstanding customer service.  Thanks!

Excellent from start to finish. Included some of the best customer service I have seen in my life. The panels due to misunderstanding, were not installed fully centred on our roof. 5 minutes after texting this issue to Chris the franchise owner, he called to say they would be out that day to install another panel free of charge to fill the gap. I said that's great but its still slightly offset and that offset was very noticeable given the design of our home. He agreed immediately and so they also moved all 26 panels a few cm... all at no cost to me. I have had a couple of questions since we went live nearly 2 weeks ago and Chris has been super responsive. I could not ask for better service. The system looks great and performs great. We found Chris Dearsley, in Christchurch, from Harrisons Solar, very knowledgable and able to communicate that knowledge to us in ways we could easily understand. We were new to the whole idea of Solar so he had a lot of explaining to do. We were put on to Chris via a painter who said they were well worth talking with as he had heard good things about them.This was certainly the case but even more important to us was his manner of communicating via email and in person, he was specific, prompt and always had time for us. We sourced 5 different proposals and Chris was aware of this, he did not try to be negative about other companies but just gave us what systems Harrisons was able to provide.Seeing as we were new to Solar the information gathering and comparing was intense for us, Chris kept it within our understanding and made the process manageable.And what a relief that everything from installation and commissioning went according to plan, just as he told us it would and we could not be more happy.Another important aspect with Harrisons for us was that they are a Company that has been around for a lengthy period and will be around even longer, this was important for after sales issues and also warranty issues if they arose.

Just got my solar panels installed last week. Time frame was rather short and the installation process was even brought forward several days. Chris was very helpful and responds quickly to our questions. Overall very happy with the product and the team.

We recently had solar installed on our roof by Harrisons. Chris was great to deal with. He knows the business inside out and was able to explain the product and options in simple everyday language, de bunking a lot of our preconceived ideas about batteries, etc. The installation was very straightforward and Harry the site manager was easy to deal with and did a tidy job. So now we are up and running, generating power and making savings even in winter. Although Harrison's are not the cheapest outfit I reckon we got good value and feel confident about back up if we have any issues.

Absolutely superb planning, installation and post install service all organised by one of their local guys here - Chris Dearsley.We installed over 8kW of panels together with a Tesla Powerwall battery. First month shows a cut in bills from $323 in June pre install to a projected $66 in July post install. Expecting this will come down to just the fixed rate after night heating becomes less a need.Throughly recommend these guys

Nothing but good things to say about our experience with Chris here in Christchurch. The initial consultation was very thorough and was tailored to be as cost-effective as possible given our household power consumption. The installers did a very tidy job and were in and out in no time. We've had our system for about 6 months now and it's been working exactly as described, so overall we're very happy and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chris to anyone interested in solar.

We are thrilled with both the brilliant service from Chris and his team to deliver the right system for us and the quality of the install from his team.The result is amazing. Installed the system in winter so amused by our decreasing power bills but now we are running 2 Evs for free on the eco setting and powering everything in our large 4 bedroom house. Last power bill (for October 23) was $16.65. Because of a $90 solar rebate as we have a contract with meridian for 17c kw/hr. How good is that. Maybe make a credit through summer!!!Harrisons Canterbury have been excellent to work with on this transition for us. We just have panels, no battery....our cars provide vehicle to load for us should it be required in an emergency. Thank you Chris for this great transition for us as retirees.

We just got our solar panels installed through Harrison's and I was very impressed with the whole process. Chris was our contact and he was very helpful in working out what system would best fit our requirements as well as providing excellent advice in terms of hardware. In the end, we went with quality and feel like we got a competitive price. Chris was also very patient in answering all of my questions with detail. This is notable as, in truth, I had many for him. I'm looking forward to working with Chris and his team again soon when my mum gets her solar panels installed.

Had a 20 panel system fitted in Marlborough. Jono was extremely good at explaining and guiding me through the process also with frequent update emails. The installation team were very clean and tidy with good system layout.

We got Jono and the team from Harrison’s Solar in Marlborough to add another 12 panels to our existing 16 panel system (including Powerwall). We’re really happy and impressed with the install job and the results we’re getting. The system, running through two Fronius inverters, is working exactly as desired - providing our home’s immediate electrical needs and charging the house battery, then diverting to the EV, if plugged in, then diverting to the hot water system and finally any surplus going to the grid. Stu and his team did a great job of understanding our requirements, quoting for and installing our solar panels. This was the second house we'd done this work (the first was with Harrison's in the Wairarapa) and Harrison's Waikato were just as professional, responsive and easy to deal with as the Wairarapa team. Their systems for managing the install all worked to plan and there were no suprises. The Waikato installation team worked around some atrocious weather conditions to get the panels installed, and up an running, very quickly. Really good value for money.

Harrisons installed solar panels in our house about 12 months ago. Right from our first point of contact with Steve and Sharron their customer service and product knowledge has been excellent. There was no pressure to purchase solar but the fact Steve and Sharron were able to answer, with facts all our questions made our decision so much easier. Thanks to Carl Williams and colleagues Sian and Renche in the office at Harrisons Solar, from the first really detailed and helpful meeting with Carl scoping our requirements through to final inspection, we had a seamless and hassle free installation of our 16 solar panels and Tesla Powerwall battery. At each stage in the process from new power meter change, scaffolding arrangements, through to the highly efficient 1 day installation of the solar system components, we were kept informed of progress and the weather dependent contingency plans. Our first meeting with Carl through to final inspection of the system took about 6 weeks.Despite our installation being completed close to the shortest day, we have been really pleased at the amount of solar power generated from our panels even on overcast days and our first power bill since the installation reflects the substantial reduction in used grid power.

From first deciding to go for solar to being up and running, this was a seamless process. Guy Coleman was great to deal with, he talked us through our options and answered all the questions we had, as well as staying in touch with us throughout. We decided on 14 panels and a Powerwall. The installation team worked quickly and efficiently, not even stopping for a cup of tea on a very cold day! We are very pleased with the system and highly recommend!!

Recently we engaged Harrisons to install a 12 panel solar array on our home. From first contact to final commissioning our interactions were friendly, efficient and timely. Chris was very knowledgeable and explained each step and option carefully. The installation team carried out their work in a very professional manner and the system was running within two days following the final electrical inspection. Stu Robinson sold the system to us. Friendly, helpful, professional. The team that did the installation were superb. Helpful, quick, neat. This system (probably the minimum), is generating more power at this time of year than I expected! Even on a heavy overcast day, we are getting usable power. Thanks team! We are now learning how to best use the system. I totally recommend forking out for a smart meter. It gives you the information to help you use your power better. Only downside, trying to get the meter owner ( contact) to install the import/export meter! They will come up with any excuse for not doing it. Do live chat, and demand a credit.

From our first inquiry until installation the support from the team at Harrisons Waikato has been seamless. Dumb questions were answered with professionalism and information about our new solar system dispensed before some questions were asked. The installation team did a great job ensuring the equipment was conveniently located plus; they cleaned up after themselves! Don't go anywhere else! Andre and Tineka Kavanagh are a pleasure to work with!

Daryl was able to talk us through our questions and expectaations. His choice to use a regular install crew that he could trust and rely on is a good call, rather than just random hired hands. The battery really is the game changer enabling power to be used later in the day, coupled with maximising Contact's free power 9.00 - midnight, meaning in summer very little paid for power used, whilst being paid for export. In fact in summer, in the evening I was able to charge 2 electric cars at the same time as sending power back to the grid! In winter, obviously not generating as much, but still about half of what it would have been - that's with 2 heat pumps, 2 electric cars (and no pertol bills), 1 spa as well as the water heating and other uses. The battery came into it's own yesterday during a planned power outage, where using the app on the phone we could ensure we had 100% stored when the power went out.

Seamless. So easy to deal with Carl Williams and his team from Harrison’s solar. We are delighted with our bespoke solar system. As we had specific requirements and budget, Carl worked with us to achieve this fantastic addition to our home. Couldn’t be happier with workmanship and the team that made it happen. Julian and his team at Harrison's Solar have been amazing to deal with. Quick responses to any questions I have, clear reasons to support the recommendations of what to go for, a and a quick and tidy install, and panels working as promised. Just be wary of the Mercury Harrison deal on Offer at the moment as Mercury is dropping the ball on timely install and connection of the nessiary 2 way smart meter, with over a month or more waiting required.

Nerum was very upfront and honest about the Solar technology being used and what it would be able to provide for us. He had great communication throughout, even though there were a few issues that needed to be ironed out, he got them sorted. Would highly recommend them.

My Wife and I engaged with Harrisons Solar, (Struan & Rachael) as we liked the idea of Solar Technology, we did some extensive research and Struan sat down with us to understand our power needs and came to us with solutions. Once we decided what we wanted (Solar panels, 6.0kw/h inverter and selling excess power to the grid, no battery, yet) the Harrisons Team looked after everything from local council compliance to install. We are now 18 months since the install and are happily seeing the benefits. The application on the phone is super simple to see what is going on and the Harrisons team is always there for support. Over the summer months in the Wairarapa we have a zero dollar power bill, it is great as when it is really hot outside we can have both house heat pumps on 16 degrees and it is not costing a thing, in fact it seems rude not to use the power, this is while also running a spa and pool pump while also using the dishwasher (which heats water) and the heat pump dryer. While the investment will not be paid off over night we are seeing the day to day benefit especially with the rising cost of power and the fact is we own the hardware so no issues if we wanted to sell the house. The Wife and I are really happy with the product and the professional approach of the Harrisons Team and have and will continue to recommend them.

Tom and his team did an excellent job of setting us up with solar panels and battery. There was good communication and the install went to plan. Testament to the sparkies, the electrical inspector commented on how good the install was. To cap it off our last power bill was a $30 credit.

Response to initial enqury was prompt and Sarel was through in his explanation of the system and the pricing was better than we had expected. Only drawback was not having an inverter in stock which delayed the installation by a few weeks. However it worked to our advantage as the new panels were then installed.

It is approx 3 months since it has been up & running. The solar system performance has been faultless! The installers were extremely professional & friendly, taking ONE day to complete the task, job well done!! (We give them an AA.A+plus Rating)

The way we see it is an investment  in future proofing  our most expensive asset our home....great to know we are limiting our carbon footprint & are contributing to the independence of New Zealand's future.

Excellent service and more importantly technical knowledge from Julian who is actually an electrician. Julian guided us through the process and was always happy to help. Excellent back up service also which can be hard to find these days.

Harrisons Solar - Waikato have been great to deal with from the start. There was no preassure with the product choice and they were very knoledgeable on their product. The follow up by their staff before installation was great and the install was done quickly and we were up and running. Very impressed would definitely recomed them if you are looking at getting solar.
